Universal Butt Plate for SMS BC Systems – Hollis

The Hollis Butt Plate allows divers to convert their buoyancy compensator and wing into a platform capable of mounting tanks in a sidemount configuration. It is securely fixed in place using stainless steel mounting bolts through the slots in the plate. Sidemount stage tanks or cylinders mounted on rails can be difficult to access if back-mounted gear blocks them—this issue is solved with the Hollis Butt Plate. Its design positions the tank attachment points along the diver’s body edge, while the bungee attachment is easy to locate thanks to its outward-facing orientation on the plate.

The Butt Plate is made from reinforced nylon to provide the proper rigidity needed to keep tanks in position and prevent flexing. Two stainless steel rails are used for tank attachment. The Butt Plate includes two stainless steel mounting bolts for securing it to a backplate. It is also equipped with four stainless steel grommets that are resistant to rust and corrosion.
